Culinary Delights at CoCo Beachcamp:
CoCo Beachcamp is known for its delicious seafood dishes, including various types of fish such as halibut, catfish, amberjack, barracuda, and goby. You can also enjoy different types of squid, snails, clams, and scallops. One highlight is the famous razor clams found at this location. Additionally, you can savor traditional Lagi dishes like grilled pork rolls wrapped in rice paper, made with minced pork, shrimp paste, and served with fresh herbs, mango, cucumber, and peanut sauce. Another local specialty is “banh xeo,” a savory pancake made with pork, shrimp, squid, and spring onion. It is served with fresh vegetables and chili.
The price range for these dishes is approximately 35-70,80k VND per serving, while hot pot dishes cost around 250-300k VND.

Advantages of CoCo Beachcamp:
Capture beautiful photos at various spots in CoCo Beachcamp, from the moment you arrive until you check out. The scenery is natural, spacious, and liberating. The food and drinks are diverse and affordable. The ingredients are fresh (probably because of the nearby market and beach!). The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. The sightseeing area offers various styles. You can relax, enjoy the beach, listen to music, dance, and dine without any worries.
Disadvantages of CoCo Beachcamp:
Due to the long stretch of CoCo Beachcamp along the beach, the beachfront wooden houses often fill up quickly, even on weekdays. The prices also increase by 100-150k VND per year. During the 2018 Lunar New Year, the price for a beachfront wooden house was 850k VND for 2 people per night.
Therefore, you may need to choose other wooden houses located further from the beach, which may be a bit darker and less crowded. If you come alone on a normal day, you may feel a bit overwhelmed by the vast area and slightly eerie feeling. Additional fees of 100k VND for a case of beer and 50k VND per kg of food apply. You don’t need to bring your own charcoal as they don’t allow it. A deposit of 200k VND is required for using the grill, and it will be refunded upon return.
Tips:
Near CoCo Beach, in the morning, there is a seafood market where local fishermen bring their catch. It usually ends around 8 am. To get there, head towards the beach on the right side. It’s not far, and you can either walk or rent a horse-drawn carriage. When I went, the carriage cost 10k VND per person per trip. The seafood here is mainly caught and brought directly to the shore. You can find various types of fish, snails, clams, small squid, and razor clams. However, the razor clams and small squid seem to be quite small. I’m not sure if it’s because they are naturally small or they are caught before they have a chance to grow. You can either buy the seafood to take home or have it cooked on the spot for an additional charge of 10-15k VND for cooking fees. If you choose to take it home, you can use their foam boxes, which cost 25k VND for a small box and 45k VND for a large box, including ice. Remember to check the prices before buying, as the prices drop as the day goes on. For example, when I first arrived, the razor clams were 180k VND, but around 8 am, they were only 130k VND.
